Ferndale Park

Ferndale park is a 62-acre (25 hectare) park in Troy Township at Torch, owned by Athens County, about half developed park, and half nature preserve. It borders the Athens-Belpre Rail-Trail, and fronts on North Torch Road. It features a playground, walking paths, restrooms, three ball diamonds, and a nature preserve area of about 31 acres (12.5 hectares).

Directions

From Athens, from the intersection of US-50/OH-32 with US-33 just south of East State Street, go 19.2 miles to Ohio State Route 7. Merge with OH-7 continuing east on US-50 and go another 3 1/3 mukes to Torch Road (County Road 63) on the left. This will be 2.1 miles after crossing the Hocking River bridge at Coolville. Turn left on Torch Road and go mile to North Torch Road (County Road 62), and turn left. Go 1/4 mile on North Torch Road to the park entrance on your left.
