Athens Conservancy GIS Center
How We Can Help

The Athens Conservancy has created this GIS resource center in order to serve public needs for better information, better land management, better environmental monitoring, and for enjoying the outdoors.

The Conservancy formerly had far more extensive files than are now on the system, created over a five-year period. Unfortunately, they were almost all destroyed several months ago. We are working hard on rebuilding the entire system.

 

Private Landowner Assistance

The Athens Conservancy can assist private landowners with mapping services in order to create conservation easements, land management plans, and public service developments that are compatible with wise management. Contact us to explore how we can work together.

Organizational Assistance

The Athens Conservancy can assist NGOs (non-governmental organizations) engaged in public service activities with mapping and land-based analysis services. Such assistance may be provided only where the activities are compatible with the interests of supporting environmental quality and wise land management. If you see a need for a map that is not now available, contact us to discuss the possibility of creating it.
