Athens Conservancy GIS Center: Shapefiles

Welcome to our new GIS resource center. GIS = geographic information systems; this center will help you with mapping, recreation, study, and land management needs. We provide several outlinks for information not available directly at this site; we offer only ArcView-types shapefiles on this site, and only ones that we have either generated from scratch or extensively modified from other sources. All files are as accurate as the best information that we can obtain, but we cannot guarantee absolute accuracy. If absolute accuracy is needed, check property records and hire a surveyor. All shapefiles are based on the NAD 1983 Ohio South projection. If any shapefiles downloaded do not conform to this projection, please notify us.
 

Federal Lands Polygon Shapefiles

These are shapefiles of the Wayne National Forest, by county in Ohio, and of properties owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. The Wayne files show the extent of the land owned by the Wayne in each county. These are compiled directly from the Wayne's own files, except for Athens County (not yet available), and so are subject to the extent of accuracy of their system.
